The UK government has agreed to provide £10
million to the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI). This
funding, in addition to the £120 million provided to the UK Vaccine Network
(UKVN), will be used for vaccine development to respond to emerging infectious
diseases in developing countries. CEPI has been working on outbreaks of
emerging infectious diseases including Ebola and Lassa fever based on funding
around the world.
