성폭력 설명 이미지

Gender is the most significant factor in deciding the pattern of death by violence. Boys dead by violence are killed mostly by strangers, and only 6% of them by someone close. 47% of girls dead by violence are killed by her family or lover.

Adolescent girls are most at risk of being exposed to violence within the private sphere, by a intimate partner. Globally, 24% of girls aged 15-24 have experienced physical and sexual violence by their current or ex-husbands, partners, or boyfriends. The situation has not improved much over the past decade, and the COVID-19 has further increased women's exposure to violence, as a result of measures such as lockdowns and disruptions to vital support services. This is because it has become difficult to get outside helt despite the increased time for girls to be quarantined at home and frequent domestic violence.

Sexual violence experienced in youth affects physical, mental, and social development seriously. Girls who experienced sexual violence in the past have a higher possibility of domestic or dating violence or sexual abuse and forced prostitution. Early pregnancy is one of the results of sexual violence and rape.Sexual violence has various forms, from direct physical contact to unwanted sexual language or images.Withoutphysicalcoercion,sexualviolencebygas-lighting,intimidation,blackmail, deception, trick also cause insuperable trauma.
